Current research 鈥� externally funded projects:

An Investigation of the Photographic Body of Work by Andrew Begbie Ovenstone (1851-1935). This will be the first book-length exploration of the work of Scottish photographer, Andrew Begbie Ovenstone (1851-1935). The archive of plates and photographic images are contained within a rare, unpublished, private collection. The project will deliver a proposal to The National Galleries of Scotland and The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for an exclusive first exhibition with accompanying publication. Funded by Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Mutations From Below and Abroad: Contesting the Assertoric Gaze in the Highland Thoughtscape (working title).  Editor. An international collection of studies bringing together a cross-disciplinary group of artists, cultural theorists, literary scholars, historians, musicologists, poets, photographers and art historians originally assembled for a two day conference at Sabhal M貌r Ostaig on the Isle of Skye (27-29 May, 2016).  Funded by Jon Schueler Charitable Trust, Crannog Concept Ltd, Creative Scotland, Gaelic Books, Lady Lucilla Noble, Royal Scottish Academy.
