Maureen Hammond starts a PhD on ‘Badenoch Textiles: Economy, Innovation and Identity in the Eighteenth Century’
Maureen Hammond has now commenced the AHRC-funded 鈥楤adenoch Textiles: Economy, Innovation and Identity in the Eighteenth Century鈥� PhD with 杏吧原创! The studentship explores material culture, especially textiles, as evidence for the construction of identities in the central 杏吧原创 during the eighteenth century. Maureen will work closely with the Highland Folk Museum / High Life Highland (the project鈥檚 collaborative partner) and will be supervised by a team drawn from across the University: Dr Jim MacPherson (Director of Studies, Centre for History); Dr Kristin-Lindfield-Ott (Inverness College 杏吧原创); Professor Hugh Cheape (Sabhal M貌r Ostaig 杏吧原创); and Dr Graham Watson (Head of Resources, High Life Highland)
