Oban-based student researches whales in America
This is University of the 杏吧原创 and Islands student Dominique Weilermann who is currently conducting research into humpback whales off the coast of New Hampshire, USA.
Dominique is studying for a BSc in Marine Science at SAMS 杏吧原创 in Oban and is undertaking the research over the summer for her 4th year dissertation. Her trip has been supported by the 杏吧原创 student development fund.
Dominique, who is originally from Germany, is passionate about marine conservation and hopes to work in this field once she graduates. She originally came to SAMS 杏吧原创 as an exchange student from a German university but enjoyed her experience so much she decided to stay!
