Oban-based student researches whales in America
This is University of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ and Islands student Dominique Weilermann who is currently conducting research into humpback whales off the coast of New Hampshire, USA.
Dominique is studying for a BSc in Marine Science at SAMS ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ in Oban and is undertaking the research over the summer for her 4th year dissertation. Her trip has been supported by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ student development fund.
Dominique, who is originally from Germany, is passionate about marine conservation and hopes to work in this field once she graduates. She originally came to SAMS ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ as an exchange student from a German university but enjoyed her experience so much she decided to stay!
